Haiti

According to current media reports, Haiti is one of the hottest travel destinations in the Caribbean. Despite critics, this part of the Hispaniola Island offers a large number of new and completely renovated hotels, and the tourist infrastructure is constantly being expanded.

Haiti is an interesting contrast to the Dominican Republic but at the same time an ideal and unforgettable addition. Haiti combines cultural highlights, lush jungles, barren mountain landscapes, rugged coasts and beaches that truly and genuinely deserve the title “dreamlike”.

The country has a lively history and is home to important historical monuments and world heritage sites, such as the citadel “La Ferrière” near Cap Haitien or the palace of Sans-Souci, built between 1810 and 1813, which was at the time the seat of the self-proclaimed King Henri Christophe.
