Punta Cana

Punta Cana is located in the southeast of the Dominican Republic and borders the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic. Characteristic of the region are the 32 km long white sandy beaches and the turquoise sea with wonderful coconut palms. The areas of Bávaro and Punta Cana together form the so-called Costa del Coco (coconut coast).

The region is known for various all-inclusive hotel complexes directly on the palm-fringed Caribbean Sea.

English speaking Punta Cana excursions

The most beautiful trips from Punta Cana include a boat tour to Isla Saona or a trip to the artist village Altos de Chavon. Isla Saona is located in the Parque Nacional del Este and offers a wide variety of different bird species.

Altos de Chavon is a replica of a traditional village from the 16th century and is considered a tourist magnet in the east of the country.

Other excursions for an exciting holiday include horse riding tours, zip lines or a visit to Monkeyland.

In Scape Park there are adrenaline-packed and exciting adventures with water zip lines, grottos, water hammocks and a private beach to relax.

Punta Cana Weather – Best time to go

The weather is tropical all year round with temperatures above 25 degrees. Most rainy days are from May to November. The best time to travel is from December to April with 8 hours of sunshine daily and an average water temperature of 28 degrees.

The Caribbean destination is flown to several times a week by Condor from Frankfurt and Munich. From the 2020 winter season, Tuifly will start two weekly flights from Düsseldorf to Punta Cana.
