Day 1 – Arrival in Punta Cana

Arrival at the airport in Punta Cana, transfer to the hotel in Bayahibe and check-in. Rest of the day off.

Day 4 – Saona Island VIP

After breakfast, pick up by an English speaking tour guide at the hotel reception at approx. 09:20 am. After a short trip with the speedboat, the first stop for snorkeling is at the house reef of Bayahibe. The next stop is the largest natural bathtub, the so-called “Piscina Natural”. Enjoy the warm water with a Cuba Libre in your hand or go looking for the native large red starfish. From here we head purposefully towards the island of Saona. Afterwards we drive to a beautiful natural dream beach. We will stay there about one and a half hours. Afterwards we will have lunch on the main beach of the island. Here you will find a Dominican buffet and music that invites you to dance. You will enjoy the return journey to Bayahibe on a catamaran. Return to the hotel. The total duration of the tour is approx. 8 hours.

Day 5 – Day at leisure

Day 6 – Transfer to Santo Domingo

At 2:00 pm pick-up by your private driver at the hotel reception and transfer to Santo Domingo. Check-in in the hotel. Rest of the day off.

Day 7 – Santo Domingo and transfer to Puerto Plata

After breakfast, pick up by your private English speaking tour guide at the hotel reception at approx. 10:00 am and city tour. The city offers a fabulous mix of 16th century houses, impressing late medieval palaces and fortresses. The colonial city was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The sightseeing programme includes various sights and tours of the historic centre, including the Parque Colón with the statue of Christopher Columbus and the Alcazár de Colón Palace. Lunch is served in between in a restaurant in the old town. In the afternoon transfer with your privat guide to the hotel in Puerto Plata. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 8 – Tropical river boat trip / Optional: Off-road jeep safari to the outback

After breakfast, transfer to Islabon with your private English speaking tour guide. Departure from the hotel at 09:00 am. First we visit a small petting zoo, where we are going to learn lots of interesting things about the biodiversity of the Dominican Republic. Afterwards we take a 45 min. boat trip along the river Rio Sabaneta de Yasica until we reach La Boca, where the river ends in an untouched part of the sea. It is possible to swim in the river or in the sea. For lunch, traditionally prepared dishes (grilled fish or chicken) await us in a rustic tree house restaurant. In the afternoon we return by boat to the starting point and then back to the hotel. The total duration of the tour is approx. 6 hours.

Day 9 – Paradise Island

After breakfast, 2 hours drive to Punta Rucia with your private driver. Departure from the hotel at 09:00 am. We will then head to the beautiful coral reef of Isla Paraíso, one of the best snorkeling opportunities in the Caribbean with a speedboat and an English speaking tour guide. Approx. 3 hours stay on the island, where fruits and various drinks are served for refreshment. Snorkel equipment is provided free of charge. At noon we return by speedboat through the mangrove forests to Punta Rucia, where a lunch buffet awaits the hungry guests. In the afternoon, time to swim and relax on the beach of Punta Rucia. Return to the hotel. The total duration of the tour is approx. 10 hours.

Day 10 – Waterfalls of Damajagua and Playa Dorada

After breakfast, transfer to the 27 waterfalls of Damajagua with private driver. Departure from the hotel at 09:00 am. Arrival at the waterfalls around 10:00 am. The approx. 3-hour guided tour with your private English speaking tour guide starts with a moderate hike of approx. 40 min to the top of the waterfalls, where the real fun begins. We jump, slide and swim our way back to the starting point. Jumps as high as 8 meters are possible. Don’t worry, all jumps can be avoided. At the end of this adventure we are going to enjoy a delicious Dominican lunch buffet. In the afternoon, transfer to the beach of Playa Dorada and time to relax on the beach. Return to the hotel. The total duration of the tour is approx. 9 hours.

Day 11 – Playa Caleton, La Entrada & Cozon and transfer to Las Galeras

After breakfast, pick up by your private English speaking tour guide at the hotel reception at 08:00 am and transfer to the secluded beach of Playa Caleton with an English-speaking tour guide. Time to swim and relax on the beach. Around noon, transfer to the lonely beach of Playa Entrada, where a traditional lunch is served. In the afternoon we will visit the beach of Playa Cozon before we head to the hotel in Las Galeras. Check-in. Rest of the day off.

Day 12 – Waterfall El Limón

After breakfast, pick up by your private English speaking tour guide at the hotel reception at 08:00 am. About 45 min horseback ride to the waterfalls of El Limón. Time to swim in the lagoon. Return ride and lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, transfer back to the hotel. The total duration of the tour is approx. 4 hours.
